I am Dario Ciarlantini, Trainer and Consultant
My passion
I have been working in the coffee industry for quite a long time, and I am now a trainer and a consultant for leading companies, both in Italy and worldwide.
I cut my teeth as a barista in the family business in the hilltop village of Sarnano in 1989, when I was only 14 years old. In 2001 my dad – a pastry chef with fifty years’ experience in pastry making, decided to relocate to the nearby small town of Tolentino.
My background
The new venue was the launching pad for my professional training; I started as a latte art stylist, and then specialized in bar management, gathering experience in the process, both onsite and through residential courses abroad. My motto: If something is worth doing, then it is worth doing well.
My experience
The international qualifications I hold are plentiful, they range from AST – Authorized Trainer for SCA, namely one of the world’s most influential specialty coffee associations, to QGrader – selector of quality coffee, not to mention my collaborations with the leading coffee corporations throughout the world.

Counselling
Problem-solving is the bread and butter of my work: I analyse your challenges and your products, study the pluses and minuses, and come up with suitable boosting strategies based on a global understanding of the market, for business transactions both in Italy and abroad.
Training
I specialize in training baristas and corporate salesmen alike. In my capacity as AST licensed trainer, I run courses for baristas, and coffee and filter brewing tasters which pave the way for international certifications. The range of courses comprises latte art, Italian espresso, and further training activities that can be thought up to address specific issues.
Public Events
I can be of assistance in organising events covering the ho.re.ca. world, in my capacity as a speaker, a judge of contests and the like. Together with your team, we can devise fresh communication formats ahead of trade shows, conferences or offline PR activity.
